Top Billin (Helsinki / Finland)

Top Billin’ is a record label, a clubnight, and the number one collective of deejays and producers in Scandinavia today. And the word is spreading as DJ`s & Producers Fiskars, Flipperi, Nenis, J-Laini and Anonymous keep touring the world and their new releases shake discerning dancefloors from Berlin to Los Angeles and back to their hometown, Helsinki. Recently, the trio has rocked with Justice, Tittsworth, Ayres, Cosmo Baker, Feadz, Team Canada and Low-Bee just to mention a few. Top Billin’ also supported M.I.A. on her two week tour of Canada in May 2008 (see video above).

The key to Top Billin’s success is not rocket science. They are just three guys who love music and like to have good time. All the time. While they’re very serious about their music, Top Billin are definitely no genre-stuck. With their roots deep in house, hip hop, dancehall, boogie and even rock, Top Billin likes to keep their music up-to-date and cutting-edge, both in the shows they play and the records they put out. Not too serious, never playing anything just for the sake of trendiness, but always true to their inspirations, the outfit has quickly reached worldwide fame. “We’re giving all we got - but it has to be fun too, or it would make no sense to us”, says DJ Nenis. “The most important thing in throwing a party is knowing how to have fun yourself. And that’s why we want to make friends, not business. Fuck genres, let’s dance.”

Not much to add here - just make sure to be at Stadtgarten Cologne on June 27th to have a hell of a goodtime with all of us. Tickets will only be available at the Kicks&Cake Sneakermarket during the daytime of June 27th or at the door of the Stadtgarten itself, arrive early to avoid disappointment.
